Michelle Lynn Reetz was born November 8, 1971 in Crete Nebraska to Roger and Betty (Riley) Reetz. She passed away peacefully at home February 14, 2023 after a long illness. Michelle was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Crete and was confirmed on September 7, 1986. She graduated from Crete High School in 1993. While in high school she enjoyed volunteering in the school cafeteria and at the local hospital. After high school she worked several jobs through Region V and enjoyed bowling with her teammates. She shared her love of sports, especially baseball and Husker football, with her dad, proudly cheering on the Yankees (much to her dad's dismay), the Royals, and always her Crete Cardinals. Many baseball games were attended over the years. On Sundays, it was "Drivers' Start Your Engines" for Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Michelle also loved her country music and attended many live concerts. She loved her family and really looked forward to the big family get -togethers with her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by mother, Betty of Crete, Sister, Janelle Reetz of Bellevue, Uncles and Aunts, Elmer and Shirley Reetz, Allan and Janice Reetz, Aunts, Dianne Kouba, Janice Reetz, Jolene Reetz, and Uncle, Jerome Kalkwarf, all of Crete and many beloved cousins. She is preceded in death by father, Roger, Grandparents Louis and Rose (Pohl) Reetz, and Perry and Velma (Younger) Riley. Uncles and Aunts, Lavern Reetz, Bob and Gloria Woodruff, Clarence Reetz, Gerald Reetz, Donna Kalkwarf, and Dale Kouba. Services will be Tuesday, February 21, 10:30 a.m. Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Crete. Visitation is on Monday, February 20, 5 – 7 p.m. Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Memorials in care of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
