Milo Kvasnicka, 88, of Wilber, NE, passed away January 15th, 2019 at the Wilber Care Center. He was born on June 16th, 1930 with twin sister Mildred on a farm outside of Hallam, NE to Joseph and Anna (Kohl) Kvasnicka. He grew up farming with his father and graduated from Crete High School in 1948. He entered the army and served from 1952 thru 1954 as an engineer involved in the Korean War, earning several medals. There they met a group of ladies who also loved polka music. One of these ladies was Margie Price who he later went on to marry on August 9th, 1969. Within a short time, they bought the current farmstead between Crete and Wilber. Milo and Margie went onto raise chickens, ducks, hogs and cows and farmed many different crops. A large garden was always a joy to them both. He enjoyed all forms of woodworking whether it was cutting and splitting wood or creating beautiful handmade clocks for the family. They enjoyed playing cards and going to polka dances with many numerous friends in the area. Traveling was also a favorite where they enjoyed visiting family and taking their first cruise. Milo was a member of the American Legion Post #101 in Wilber and always ready to flip burgers for the annual Czech festival. He was involved in raising funds and building the current Kramer Community Hall. Milo is survived by daughters: Sharon (Gerry) Limbeck, Katie, TX and Diana (John) Spellman, Malcolm, NE.
