Orval Loyd Heusinkvelt, 84, of Martell, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Wilber Care Center.
He was born on February 11, 1932 to Walter and Idalla (Poland) Heusinkvelt. He was one of 5 children; Lyle, Marvin, Elmer and Lynn.
Upon completion of high school Orval joined the US Army serving in the Korean War. On May 28, 1953 Orval married Darlene Weilage, to their union four children were born; Dan, Ken, Loyd, and Roger.
After 35 years of driving truck for P.I.E Orval retired. Most of his time was spent with Darlene by his side. He devoted his time to creating many laughs and memories with his family. He enjoyed going fishing in Elwood, NE, playing Fuchs, drinking coffee and conversing every morning in Kramer, and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren's ball games.
Orval is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lyle, Marvin, and Elmer.
He is survived by wife Darlene; sons and spouses Dan and Mona, Ken and Maria, Loyd, and Roger and Karen; 33 grandchildren and spouses; 38 great-grandchildren; and brother and spouse Lynn and Leila Heusinkvelt; brother-in-law, Ray "Bud" Weilage; sister-in-law, Lucile Heusinkvelt.
Celebration of Life: Friday (7-1-2016), 1:30 pm, Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete. Cremation, no visitation. Interment: Centerville Cemetery. Memorials in care of the family.
