Patricia Kaye Sobotka, age 62, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away April 10, 2019. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 30, 1957 to Frank A. and Elsie Sobotka. A graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School in 1975, she also went on to study psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for two years. Patty was proud of her over 23 years of service with the Nebraska Air National Guard where she rose to the rank of Master Sergeant. In addition to several other awards, she received the Meritorious Service Medal and was selected for the Aksarben Citizen Soldier of the Year Award. Patty is survived by mother, Elsie, of Lincoln, Nebraska; son, Dale F. Sobotka, M.D. and sister-in-law, Lynette Sobotka of Lake Stevens, WA; nephews, Shane Sobotka of Paonia, CO and Ryan Sobotka of Seattle, WA, and niece, Lara Sobotka of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by sister, Jeannine Sobotka of Lynchburg, VA, and nephew, Anthony Sobotka of Snoqualmie, WA. She was preceded in death by father, Frank A. Sobotka, and her beloved dog, Penny.  Private graveside services were held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Wilber Czech Cemetery in Wilber, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice. Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete is handling arrangements.
