Paula Kay (Fette) Lauritsen, 72, of Ashland, NE passed away peacefully in her home March 8, 2019 after and two and half year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Crete, NE September 3, 1946 to Paul and Blanch Fette. She was a loving mother and grandmother as well as a die-hard Husker fan. She never missed a televised game. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and loved watching her grandchildren grow. She is survived by her children; Candice (Luther) Matthies, Amy Weinman, Sean (Tara) Lauritsen, and Brandi (Michael) Rush, and her 6 grandchildren; Sam Duckett, Zander, Savannah, and Sawyer Lauritsen, and River and Mazie Rush. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Kuncl Funeral Home, 131 W. 12th St. Crete, NE. The family asks that everyone wear their Husker attire in honor of Paula. Memorials may be given to CHI Health at Home or in care of the family in lieu of flowers.  Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete is handling arrangements.
