She attended Wilber grade school and later graduated from Wilber High School in 1949. After graduation, she worked at the Bank of Wilber for her father until his death in 1952. She remained a farm wife until Marvin's retirement in 1986. They then moved to Wilber. After Marvin's death in October of 1994, she continued to live in Wilber. She was a proud supporter of various animal and Veteran groups and associations. Her loves and interests included flower and vegetable gardening, walking and swimming until she was no longer able to do so. Peggy loved to visit various lakes, parks and zoos. Most of all, she loved Wilber Czech Days, especially the Alumni Band. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles. B. and Blanche Hroch, husband, Marvin H. Burger, and brother, Charles F. "Sid" Hroch. Peggy is survived by her son: Eric (Tina) Burger of Wilber, grandchildren: Echo (Alec) Morehouse of Wilber, Sky Burger of Grand Island, and great granddaughter, Callie Anderson of Wilber. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Wilber Czech Cemetery. Memorials are in care of the family for future designation to the Wilber Fire & Rescue Department.
