Richard Olaf Olson age 84 years passed away on April 13, 2021 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He was born on March 4, 1937 to Harold and Doris (Anderson) Olson in Greenwood, Nebraska.

He attended Waverly Public Schools where he graduated in 1955.  Later he served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962 stationed in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.  After the service he was united in marriage to Marlene English on February 8, 1962 in Bennet, Nebraska.  He was a farmer all his life in Greenwood and Crete, Nebraska and was employed for 31 years at Goodyear Tire.

He will remembered for his love for his family, his stories, quick wit and his generosity to his family and friends.  He enjoyed pro wrestling, NASCAR, college football, boxing, animals, classic cars and Kentucky Fried chicken.

He is survived by his son, Scott Olson, daughter, Robyn Amen, grandchildren, Ryan Olson, Jamie Olson, Kyle and wife Taylor Amen, Jordan Amen, Drew and wife Emily (Manning) Amen,  Quentin Amen and fiancée Cynthia Rocha and Kelly Amen, great grandchildren, Jonah Amen, Ciri Amen and Eden Amen and his sisters, Sharon Wilhelm and Beverly Rossi.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents and wife Marlene.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10 AM at Kuncl Funeral Home, Crete, Nebraska.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Greenwood, Nebraska. Memorials to the Crete Rescue Squad.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
