Robert "Bob" Dale Emeigh passed away Monday, September 16, 2019, at Tabitha Care Center in Crete, NE, at the age of 84. He was born September 2, 1935 in Crete, NE, to Ivan E. and Mildred E. (Crowder) Emeigh, the oldest of four sons. A lifelong resident of Crete, Bob graduated from Crete High School in 1953. Bob enlisted in the US Navy in 1955 and proudly served for four years while traveling the world. Bob returned to Crete and was employed by the Crete News office where he worked in various capacities for 42 years until his retirement in 2001. Bob was an active member of Crete Sertoma, American Legion Post 294, and Crete VFW Post 4959 where he was Post Commander 1976-77. He enjoyed attending Crete High School athletic events and watching Husker football. Bob also enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brothers Melvin (Elaine) of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Don (Lynda) of Lincoln, NE, nieces Karen Emeigh of Denver, CO, Stacie (James) Siebert of Milford, NE, Sheila (Chris) Goebel of Grand Island, NE, and Nichole (Jon) Lobberecht of Ft Madison, IA, nephew Jonathan Emeigh of Lincoln, NE, as well as great nieces and nephews and one great great niece. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard, and nephew Paul Emeigh.  Memorial service at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the First Congregational Church, 440 E 12th St. in Crete, NE.
