Obituary

Robert "Bobby Joe" Kvasnicka Sr., age 83 of Kramer, was born December 9, 1937, in a rural farmhouse between Crete and Wilber to Joe and Anna (Kohl) Kvasnicka.  Bobby Joe attended South District 88 Country School until it was tore down, and then attended North District 88 Country School, before moving to Crete High School.   After graduating, Bobby Joe went into the US Army as a paratrooper. After his military service be began farming, but also worked at the railroad in Lincoln fixing boxcars and at Ready-mix before farming full-time. In 1972 Bobby Joe married Shirley Slapnicka of Wilber, and they raised four fantastic and good looking children. They took casino and fishing trips together, raised cattle, hogs, chicken, geese, countless cats and dogs and had many friends and family over to butcher and process at their place.  Always tinkering with something, he was a John Deere tractor lover and never found anything he couldn't fix. Bobby Joe enjoyed fishing; playing Fuchs, attending farm sales, and sitting around the wood burning stove visiting with family and friends while having a cold one.  Bobby Joe farmed in Lancaster, Saline, and Gage counties for nearly sixty years before retiring in 2016 and moving to Kramer from the farm. He still tinkered and collected all kinds of items from sales and Menard's.   Bobby Joe's family knew him as kind, witty, and ornery. He was recognized by his laugh, bright blue eyes, and overalls with red shirts. Those fortunate enough to know him are heartbroken and devastated by his passing, and he will be forever missed.  Bobby Joe is preceded in death by his dad Joseph Kvasnicka, mom Anna Kvasnicka, brother Milo Kvasnicka, and baby sister Irma Kvasnicka. Bobby Joe is survived by his son Steve Slapnicka, his daughter Chyenne, and her son Liam and daughter Joselyn; son Alan Kvasnicka, his wife Amy, and their children Taylor, Cheyenne, Trevor, Austin and Keith; son Bobby Kvasnicka, Jr. and his children Slane and Mersadies; his daughter Sherry Clarkson, husband Brandon, and their children Alex and Mary; sister Millie Fey; and many special family members and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 - 7 P.M. at the funeral home.  Memorials are in care of the family for future designation.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber.
