Robert D. Yost, (widower of Emilie), 86, Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Crete, passed away on May 10, 2017. He was born on March 26, 1931 to Clyde and Sylvia (Merik) Yost. He married Emilie Pomajzl on October 2, 1954. Robert owned and operated Crete Masonry until he retired and then he and Emilie ran Yosties in Wilber for nearly 10 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a retired Crete Volunteer Fire Fighter for almost 30 years, member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Crete, and Korean War veteran.
Survivors: Children and spouses and their families: Steve and Sandy Yost (Nathan and Ashley Schwenke and son Kade, Cassie and Jake McElroy and children Kali, Ella and Ava, Sean Yost), Larry and Sheryl Yost (Amie Benis and children Jordyn, Rylie, Alyssa and Christina, Adam Yost), Brad Yost (James and Stephanie Yost and daughter Caitlyn, Blake Yost, Dayna Yost and son Jullian, Kaylee Yost), Gail and Gary Yuska (Brandy and Jason App and children Olivia and Nicholas, Amanda and Ryan Woods and children Mason, McKenna, Mollie and Margret). Brothers in law: James Rischling, Dale Rigby, Alvin (Rosemary) Pomajzl. Sister in law: Maryann Kennedy. Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Emilie, brother and sister in law: Dick and Florence Yost, sisters: Patricia Rischling, Kathy Yost, and Beverly Rigby, brother in law: Kenneth Kennedy.
