Rose Ella (Duba) Boden was born on a farm north of Western to Joseph N. and Anna (Zoubek) Duba on April 11, 1916. She attended grade school in District #120 to the 8th grade. On May 28th, 1952 she was united in marriage to Carl Boden in Crete. Rose was a farm wife and worked as a cook in Crete Public Schools. She was a longtime member of Z.CB.J., Crete Garden Club, the Crete Eastern Star Lodge, and served the Saline County Fair Board in the open class baking and canning division. Rose served many years as a clerk with the Saline County Election Board. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, sewing, crocheting, listening to Czech music, watching her grandchildren play sports, and singing while baking. She is survived by her daughters; Cathy (Don) Pracheil of Seward, Sharon (Bruce) Rudeen of Lincoln, and Janice (Mark) Buss of Seward; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister Millie Behrens; sister-in-law LaVerne Duba; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers and spouses: Adolph and Emma Duba, Joe and Sylvia Duba, and Frank; sister and spouse: Abbie and Jim Zoubek; sister: Bertha Duba; brother-in-law: Dean Behrens; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Joan (Boden) and Rudy Manske, Dorothy (Boden) and Hobart Frank, Edith (Boden) and Willard Hulse; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Henry and Elvina Boden. Celebration of Life: Tuesday, December 18th, 2018 at10:30 AM, Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber. Visitation: Monday, 5 - 7 PM, funeral home. Burial at the Wilber Czech Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her family for designation for plants at the Ridgewood Rehabilitation and Care Center.
