Ruth Marie Mischnick, 89, was called home on March 14, 2018 to be with the love of her life, Carl; they were united in marriage on May 11, 1948. Ruth was born on May 14, 1928 in Roca, NE. to Emma Dougherty. She spent her years working at El Toro's, Sportsman's, the Capital Humane Society and being a homemaker. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family as well as her fond love for her pets. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Ed) Scott, Kathy (John) Buresh, Deb (Steve) Waldron and son Bob Mischnick, also many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her Mother, Emma; Husband, Carl; and Son, Dave. Visitation will be on Monday, 5 – 7 p.m. at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete. Services will be held at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 10:30a.m. Casual attire requested by the family. Lunch to follow at Veterans and Friends Club (former VFW) 130 N. 13th in Crete. Memorials are in care of the family.
