Scott Michael Meister, 37, formerly of Lincoln, NE, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at his home in Pearland, TX which is located in the Houston, TX metro area. He was born January 8, 1979 to Brad and Tammy (Packett) Meister in Tecumseh, NE. Scott grew up in Wilber, NE and graduated from Wilber–Clatonia High School in 1997. On June 8, 1998 he joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California where he proudly served for four years.

Scott's greatest joy of his life was the day he became a father to Shawn Michael who was born May 12, 2001. Scott was not only a dedicated and loving father, but also a wonderful son, grandson, brother, uncle and nephew. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing golf and making people smile and laugh.

Scott is survived by his son, Shawn Meister of Martell, NE; parents, Brad and Tammy Meister of Wilber, NE; grandmother, Ruby Meister of Tecumseh, NE; grandfather, Dale Packett of Tecumseh, NE; brothers, Patrick and Jill Meister of Wilber, NE, Andy and Crystal Meister of Lincoln; nieces, CeCe Meister, Ariana Molthan and Isla Meister of Wilber, NE, Madilyn Meister of Lincoln, NE; nephew, Jackson Meister of Lincoln, NE; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Elaine Packett of Tecumseh, NE; grandfather, Paul Meister Jr. of Tecumseh, NE; cousin, Jarrett McAnally of Tokyo, Japan.

A Memorial Service to honor Scott's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Sokol Hall Auditorium, Wilber, Nebraska with Pastor Lila Bottolfsen officiating.
