Stephen Balas Jr.'s Obituary
Stephen Balas Jr., 82, of Lincoln passed away May 15, 2017. He was born Feb. 9, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. Stephen was a long time member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lincoln.
Survivors include son, Stephen Balas III; daughter, BJ (RJ) Hobelman; grandchildren, Alanea (Austin) Riffle, Isabelle Hobelman, Zoey Hobelman, Caleb Hobelman, Noah Hobelman, Jared Hobelman; great grandchilden, Brayden Riffle, Adaleigh Riffle; sisters, Mary Senzino, Veronica Schnell, Helen Hier; numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sarah L. Balas.
A Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6111 Morrill Ave, Lincoln. Rosary will be Thursday at 9:45 AM at the church prior to Mass with Fr. Troy Schweiger as celebrant. Private family burial will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Crete. Memorials in lieu of flowers to the church. Condolences at kunclfh.com.
