Susan (Kalkwarf) Urbach was born in Crete on March 21, 1961, the daughter of Loren and Mary Ann Kalkwarf, and died November 22, 2022, at the age of 61 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.

She married Mark Urbach on July 16, 1983 at Sacred Heart Church in Crete.

Sue was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being outside at their home near Denton, especially in her screen room watching family enjoy the summer. Sue enjoyed fishing and making crafts.  She was selfless and always doing things for others.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and brothers Loren and Tom.

Sue is survived by her husband, daughter Ashley (Eichelberg), son Travis, and son-in-law Steve. She is also survived by her siblings Robert, Barb (Petracek), Pat (Urbach), Bill, Martha (Hingst), Mary Ellen (Calkins), Dale (Spike), Mike, and Julie (Layton), as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 from 6:30 – 7:30 P.M with the Rosary Service at 7:30 at Sacred Heart Church in Crete. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 26 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church; celebrants Fr. Phan and Fr. Stoley. Interment is at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Memorials have been designated to Sacred Heart Church in lieu of flowers.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
