Thomas Christopher Drake of Wilber, NE passed away March 7, 2018.
Tom was born June 3rd, 1961 in Danbury, Connecticut. Growing up in New Milford, Connecticut, Tom enjoyed playing electric guitars with buddies, and stamp collecting.
A graduate of New Milford High, Tom worked at Kimberly Clark and continued his passion for electric guitars, developing a love of the Beatles, became an avid history buff, and participated in civil war reenactments. Later, Tom moved to Nebraska to be closer to his Midwest family. Tom became enamored with wood working, restoring antique chests found at flea markets and antique shops, and making gifts for family and friends. Tommy had a warm smile and gave giant hugs. He loved his family and the Lord fiercely. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tom is survived by his mother, Ruth Carol Meyer of Plymouth, NE, father, Thomas B. Drake (Diane) of Warren, CT, siblings: Phyllis Drake, New Milford, CT, Lisa Cornell (Rob) of The Villages, FL, Amy Hansen (Eric) of Plymouth, NE, and Kevin Drake of Warren, CT. Nephew, Robbie Cornell (Miranda) of Owasso, Ok and niece, Jillian Hansen of Plymouth, NE, several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Celebration of life will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilber with Pastor Travis Panning. Memorials in care of the family. A memorial service to take place in Connecticut at a time and place to be determined. Private family interment at a later date.
