Obituary

Truman "Doc" Francis Lauterbach 94, of Sprague, NE passed away April 11, 2016. He was born January 3rd, 1922 to Fred and Linda (Schmutte) Lauterbach of Martell. He graduated From Sprague-Martell High School in 1938. Truman married his classmate Frances Anna Mae Krull on March 22, 1942, celebrating their 73rd wedding anniversary just over a year ago. Truman devoted his time to his family, his community, and was a lifelong member of Sprague Community Church. He owned and ran Centerville Service Station for over 40 years. He was a 70 year member of the American Legion, loved to travel, go fishing, hunting, and most of all play pitch.

He is survived by his sister Luana (Lauterbach) Sullivan of Sprague; two sons Rex (Diane) Lauterbach of Crete and Mark Lauterbach of Hallam; three grandchildren Seth (Letty) Lauterbach, Zach (Rebecca) Lauterbach, and Sarah (AJ) Meier; two step-grandchildren Chris (Rosetta) Warren and Mark Warren. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances, sister Marian (Lauterbach) Krivohlavek, and parents Fred and Linda Lauterbach.

Celebration of life funeral services will be held on Monday April 18th, 2016 at 11am at Kuncl Funeral Home, 131 W 12th St, Crete, NE 68333, family requests casual attire. Luncheon will follow at Veterans and Friends (VFW Post 4959) 13 W. 13th St, Crete, and burial to follow at Lincoln Memorial. Memorials care of the family for future designation.
