Vilma Llarena Hidalgo went to her heavenly home on December 22, 2020 at the age of 51. Vilma was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on August 3, 1969 to Ricardo and Vilma Hidalgo. At the age of 8 she came to Los Angeles, California alongside her older sister Lupe. Before moving to Crete in July of 2018 she lived in Long Beach, California where she graduated from Long Beach University as a school Psychologist and worked for the Long Beach Unified School District. Vilma was also known as ¨Tanya¨ by all of her friends. Vilma enjoyed spending time with family and friends who will carry memories of her in their hearts forever. She also loved and was very protective of animals, especially her two favorites Mickey, her pug and her cat Sassy. She is survived by her parents Ricardo and Vilma Hidalgo. Nieces Jennifer Banos, Stephanie Hidalgo, Andrea Linares and Adrianna Linares. Nephews Johny Avelar and Cesar Linares. Great nieces and nephew Giovanna Balli Avelar, Genesis Banos, Jeremiah Avelar and Lilian Avelar. Preceded in death by maternal grandmother Margot Orellana and maternal grandfather Rosalio Marroquin. Viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Kuncl Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Kuncl Funeral Home on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at  11:00 am, burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery. Officiating the service is Pastor Israel Avelar. Pallbearers: father Ricardo Hidalgo, brother Rick Hidalgo, brother-in-law Cesar Linares, nephews Johny Avelar and Cesar Linares and nieces Jenny Banos and Andrea Linares. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
