Virginia Claire (Zelenka) Parks Teal, age 94. Passed away November 22, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 10, 1928 in Crete, Neb. to Emil & Clara (Wielage) Zelenka. She graduated from Crete High School in 1946. She held varies secretarial jobs and then later attended Southeast Community College for nursing. She worked as an LPN until she retired. She married Lester Parks on August 13, 1951 from this union 4 children Michael, David, Lisa, and Julie were born. After the passing of her husband in 1979 she later married Morris Teal. She enjoyed playing Bridge and other card games. She loved to cook and bake. She loved to attend all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities. Preceded in death by parents, both husbands, son, Michael Parks, sister, Dorothy Rees and brothers in law, Bill Rees and Lyle Simpson. She is survived by David (Dawn) Parks, Lisa (Tim) Coffey, Julie (Terry) Reetz all of Crete. Grandchildren, Alex (Sean) Haar, Samantha (Nick) Flewelling, Nate (Audrey) Parks, Kellie (Austin) Aksamit, Cory (fiancé,Lexi) Parks, Bryon (Sarah) Coffey, Erin (Matthew) Schepers, Nick (Haley) Coffey, Jerad (Aleece) Reetz, Jennifer Reetz (special friend, Brian) Amanda (Garret) Easley, Nicole (Cale) Gierhan. 25 great grandchildren. Sister, Norma Simpson and many nieces and nephews. Private family graveside service. Memorials in lieu of flowers will be donated to Crete Volunteer Fire Department.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
