Wanda Sue Ahrens, 60, of Wilber, Nebraska, passed away on February 1, 2021.  She was born on October 6, 1960 in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Lola (Harms) Wentz and Robert Wentz.  Growing up on a farm, Wanda had a love for all animals, especially cats. Wanda worked in the insurance industry for more than 40 years, and enjoyed spending her leisure time with family going on vacations, a favorite being Branson, MO and going out to eat. Wanda spent many years doing lots of shopping with her daughter Sarah, and cheering on her son Derek at his basketball games. She enjoyed cooking dumplings and goulash for her family, and she absolutely loved dark chocolate and Coors Light. Wanda always loved to have a good time getting together with family and friends, and consistently went overboard when giving gifts for birthdays and holidays. She was preceded in death by her sister Denise, father Robert, grandparents Rachel and Ernest Wentz, and grandparents Herman and Alma Harms.  Wanda is survived by her husband Kevin, daughter Sarah (Nathan) Foley, son Derek, mother Lola, and sisters Loretta (Jim) Fricke and Renae (Chad) Congrove.  Cremation, with services Friday, 10:30A.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilber.  Visitation will be held Thursday, 4-7 P.M. at the church.  The service will be livestreamed via the church Facebook page.  Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation.  Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber has been entrusted with the arrangements.
