Willis Luedke of Crete, Nebraska passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 20, 2021.  He was born December 11, 1935 to Raymond and Hannah Luedke of Wisner, NE.  Willis graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where he earned his Master's Degree in Education.  Willis spent more than 30 years as an educator and administrator with Crete Public Schools.  He served as County Commissioner to citizens of Saline County for over 20 years.  He is survived by Suzanne, his wife of 63 years and three children.  Daughters; Robin (Doug) Ewald, Pam (Scott) Havel, and son; Joel. Grandchildren; Emily (Nolan) Rudder, Dane (Amanda) Ewald, Cale (Morgan) Ewald, Lucas (Rachel) Havel, Josh and Garett (Haley) Luedke.  Great-Grandchildren; Haegen Havel, Olive Rudder and Harley Luedke.  Services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Crete.  Memorials have been designated to the church.  The service will be livestreamed through the church's facebook page.  Arrangements entrusted to Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
