Wilmina (Willie) Pauline (Beranek )Brt ,88, of Crete passed away June
21, 2017. She was born June 30, 1928 in Raymond, Nebraska to Bill and Pauline (Jirovsky) Beranek.
Willie grew up in Raymond and graduated from Raymond High School in 1945. She worked at Gold's Department Store in Lincoln, Farmers
Funeral Home in Exeter, Exeter Cemetery, Exeter Public School, Formfit
and Doane College. But her true career was homemaker. She valued family
time especially with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She loved to play cards, scrabble, and do puzzles. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crete, VFW Auxiliary and Legion Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Albert, Bill and Paul
Beranek, her husband Glen Brt, first husband Pete Becker, step-daughter Pat (Brt) and her husband Jerry Willits, her step-son Jon Brt, step-granddaughter Amy Brt and nephew Paul Beranek Jr.
Willie is survived by daughters and sons-in- law, Julie (Becker)and Raphael Chrastil of Crete, Caryl Brt and Journel Thomas of North Carolina, Nancy Brt and Ron Kriha of Lincoln; son, Ron Becker of Exeter; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, her special friends Terry Waltman and Doug Gwin.
A Rosary will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 followed by the Memorial Service at 10:30 AM, all at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, Nebraska. Father Christopher Stoley will be officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Nebraska.
